My name is Midnight Blue
I drive a midnight car
They think they are fast
But no-one has caught me
So far
I do what I am told
That is my decision
When they tell me to knit
I have no indecision
I work for Parky
He controls my every move
Sends me to whatever
Asks whatever's crude
And when I am finished
He sends me somewhere else
And once that is finished
He sends me to hell
Where else

Thanks

I thought it was a bit over the top for here but went for it.

Dave,  it isn't over the top in my opinion,
and we also have other forums where a piece
that is questionable can be placed.

Midnight Blue huh?  An interesting write,
interesting ending as well..

Hi Dave, I really like this, it has almost a gangster ring to it. It's a real great piece of work like your others. Keep up the great writes!

Dave,
At first I had a little time getting into this-until I tried the rhythm more as a rap.  (I guess I just had to fly with my imagination.  After I did, the rhythm and message really made sense to me!)  I, like others perhaps, didn't grow up with rap or newer varied rhythms.  Thank you for sharing your work and bringing more into focus to what others are doing today.  I don't think I caught your first post, so please, let me take the opportunity now to welcome you to Passions!

What a bad boy type of rhythm this had to it.  Good write!

Thanks all

I am just a 55 year old who still remembers the time on Big Ben after Peter Pan and company landed on it

If anyone is interested Midnight Blue is a character in a book I outlined and then never did anything about

I said somewhere on the site that I sat alongside a well know lady author at a Discworld convention and said that I have reservations about the book as one of the characters was a natural killer, another thought before he killed, a third believed his parents were gods and Midnight Blue tortued to order, whilst Parky tried to used them for his own ends with a complete lack of anything but service to his masters

She said to me write for yourself

I still want to write the book but only if I can portray the characters as I should
