Sacrifices

I’d give up the world for you
The gold at the end of the rainbow
The last leaf falling from the tree
A last day on earth to say goodbye
Everything that keeps me safe
I’d wrap my soul up in a box
With a transparent bow
And silver wrappings
My telltale heart would beat inside
I’d spend the rest of my days crying for you
Roam the earth without a place by your side
Jump into an abyss with nothing to catch me
And only want you to help me up
I’d walk through the dark for years
To find you at the other end
But here I’d find my gift on the ground
Sitting unopened in the midnight air

I can really relate...

But here I’d find my gift on the ground
Sitting unopened in the midnight air

These last two lines are wrenching, I can feel your pain twisting round in them.

Well done!
Caroline

the only man worth your tears will never make you cry
