With Overwhelming Emotion

The mind remained clear
Yet my heart failed to see
Not until I began to realise
That he never cared for me

With my mind over matter
Where thoughts perceive
Someone that I had trusted
My heart wanted to believe

As my mind began to flow
My thoughts are in motion
While the heart was sinking
With overwhelming emotion

The mind knew the reason
It had sensed my lonliness
Knowing I devoted my heart
To someone who cared less

the human heart wants do for the soul to be loved,,,,,sometimes, we overlook the fact that the person we want to love us,,,can barely love themselves

Dear Hope, yes these are overwhelming emotions ... you say it so well.
But our hearts are strong and want to be open for true love ...
