Seduction Of A Winter Dance Again she called to me. Pursing her succulent lips in such a cold yet beckoning kiss, I had no choice but to go to her and hold her. All the while she curves herself just so into an arched begging scream that somehow always leaves me begging for more. Under misted breath, I whispered, “There is never enough.” So intent was she that I bear witness to this birthing, this flamboyant display of immense crystal beauty, She began to weep virgin tears of joy. Somehow she seems surprised at my coming. Do I not always answer her beckoning call? As they silently fell, not one similar to the other, each sparkled like a priceless jewel. In a moment’s touch I knew with certainty no one would ever own this treasure but her. I gasped, welcoming her shivers. They gave me an unexplained sense of lightness and joy that is strangely, so very warming as it hits the core of my wanting and waiting soul. In between each cool sigh, where her crescendo builds quivering to climax, only she can orchestrate the finale or encore this frigid winter stage bears witness to. My breath rises in swirled, chilled vapours. I begin to heave cool misted sighs, while all the while, a trail of salty sweat under layers of protection drips as I try to run in a child-like, exhilarated joy. I find myself wiping away tears of wonder and gratitude with the same black glove I used to try and catch a miracle, a snowflake. A small prayer escapes me, as I stand here alone, being seduced by winter's dance. Oh my gosh!! I thought that this was about a guy being seduced by a woman! LOL!! This poem is amazing. I'm so dense that I didn't get that it was snow. I just assumed that you were a guy writing this. I hope this doesn't offend you. Anyway, excusing the mix-up, this is still an amazingly written poem. |

You have to love snow to live where I love to live! This picture was taken out my back door with a zoom lense toward Grouse Mountain. I am delighted you shared snowflakes with me |
