to revel in the way you tie your shoes
tuck your shirt in
part your hair
zip your pants

to care whether you wear boxers or briefs
use colgate or crest
like comedy or drama
read fantasy or nonfiction

to like the bands you like
(it reminds me of you)
believe in what you believe in
give a damn about what you think
about my outfit today

to always write sappy ass poems about you
hope for what could be
(as opposed to acknowledging what is or will be)
think about you every moment
devote myself to you

to think that somehow you know who I am
that somehow you care about me
that you think about me
(even though you don’t know me)
the way I do about you

i understand where you're coming from, and this is a great poem. i'm really in that sort of place right now and i thank you for your understanding! hang in there sweetie!

I like your stuff... like i said before, easy to read. It's not all pretentious, but it still paints a clear picture of what you're feeling. awesome
