When I saw that first smile
tasted that sweet cheek,,,
held your hand for no reason
yesterday
your eyes beheld the wonders
the world offered all for free
I look at you
how we've grown
where we've gone,,,
tomorrow will soon be a yesterday
will the wonder of you ever end?
discovery has become common
you answer questions once a mystery
yes
it was yesterday
and many before it
that will fill my heart with you
till there are no more yesterdays to share
