The world as a whole
Puts aside all its concerns
in celebration

May “your” God bless you
As you make resolutions
For our betterment

What about mankind?
One common resolution
Peace for everyone?

Two Thousand And Four
Let it be a year of peace
Harmony for all!

Our world has no end
Passions In Poetry Friends
We'll all meet again

My dear poet friends
Here's to 2004!
Love,

I usually don't like pictures with poems, but this is a very beautiful piece. Did you create it yourself? (I love the Middle East).

Eminor_Angel - the Graphic was done by our Serenity's sister, Twisted, and a lot of us "hang out" there at their site.  She is fantabulous at making them.  That is actually a picture of Sarah Brightman, that she turned into a globe for me, and put my name on it.  Clever yes?  Here is their site, and it is a lot of fun.  Chatroom too!

Thanks Nancy Lee, and to you too!  We are all staying home (snowed in here in Vancouver) and I can't complain about that as I am loving it!

Hey y'all I am snowed in and some of us decided to start a discussion to pass the time away tonight if you are up to it.  A kind of "wishful thinking thread", like if I was younger I would be..., when I get older I want to wear ..., if I had it do it all again I would..., well you get the idea.  Let's face it - being alone on New Year's sucks for many so let's keep each other company.  Sharon (PoetdeVine) in her infinite wisdom will of course think up the topics, and we can all just horse around, and who knows we may actually learn something valuable from each other's experience, so whatyathink?  See you later poetrygators, and I will bring a sour cream and spinach dip in a loaf of homemade bread (see that is carbs and as if midnight a definite no-no for me!)  Love and Peace to you all, now Sharon - hope you have your thinking cap on? Now if enough show up maybe we can persuade Serenity and Twisted to open the doors to a chatroom so we can "talk" to each other how's that?

Oh and thanks everyone - Happy New Year Iffin I don't see ya!  (bet this Canuk slang really nags at ya right? LOL)

Happy New Year, Sharon! And, everyone else. I have to work tomorrow, which means I have to get up at 4:00 a. m. to get to work on time. So, I am sorry I won't be able to join you all. Wish I could, though.

I wish I had internet! You guys are the best. I'll be home AND sober!

You're a dear and I wish everyone a happy and prosperous New Year.  I am home alone with a nasty cold. I am going to try to stay awake to see all of the celebrations but with all of the cold medicines I'm taking it will probably be hard to keep my eyes open.  Love  Joyce
