She whispers, "Go to sleep" "I am asleep" Tiss but a whisper of a dream Soft and Silent Warm and Silken A touch to my skin as she passes by The rustle of a satin's gown fills with scent of jasmine hair answering my cries She whispers in my ear, a sweet lullaby... "Love and a kiss from your angel, dear child. Dream of me, peaceful, loving, gentle, and mild. I sing sweet songs of graceful melody My thoughts and wishes for you, of me Dream of my touch laying here in your bed Your love's not far from your road weary head. Don't move Don't fret Rest here next to me Closed eyes reach out your darkness flees So rest sweet boy, as I stroke your face As sent from heaven, my heart's Godly grace..." Tiss but a whisper, of an unfulfilled dream....... |
