I Would the Feel I wash my hands of paints illusion And hunger for the touch of sound Tired of those wrought delusions I would the face of real around. I would my hand to touch your skin Within the process of exist I would my heart to sigh within Without the mist of wanes desist I’m tired of the fantasy Rebel against the frozen mist I would the real of ecstasy Before I fall into the gist. I hold my head in weary wend And seek the shelter of a door I would no phantom be my end I would the glory and the gore My hand is out to feel that touch Without the aid of psyches crutch |

OHHOWILOVEWHENYOUWRITELIKETHIS!!!! those first two verses leave me moth weak in the knees. What a bittersweet beauty this is... Randy angst wrapped up in classic Sy couplets of oh so lovely poetic phrasing. Im gonna need a new wing added on to me Sy-babes library. ~~~~~ If words but could they would ... would they, could they be enough? Would they say all need be said ... heart on sleeve, confessions off the cuff? If words but could they would ... could they speak a heart so true? Would they say the true intent ... would they define then do justice to you? If words but could they would ... could they overcome this distance? Would they precede the miles ... take the path of less resistance? If words but could touch across time and space ... so you would feel the love of this poetic embrace. *winkiewinkie* |

I Would the Feel I wash my hands of paints illusion And hunger for the touch of sound Tired of those wrought delusions I would the face of real around. I would my hand to touch your skin Within the process of exist I would my heart to sigh within Without the mist of wanes desist LOL, Seymour, when I copied and pasted the above to quote the part that I related to the most, I didn't know that Janet Marie was quoting the same lines. LOL It is so true, though. Fantasy is good, but real is so much better!!! Hugs, Ethel |
