A New Chapter

**thank you all for your love, friendship,
and support this year. This is a tribute to
2003, and looking forward to 2004**

2003 has been the year of change
Of promises fullfilled, and dreams come true
I met the love of my life
Finding the key, I unlocked my heart of blue

I've been reunited with family
After 21 long and distant years
It's brought forth so much emotion
I'm no longer consumed with fears

No longer close to family in distance
Always close though, in heart
I'm learning the ways of the world
Have begun my brand new start

2003 has been the year of hope
Things beyond my wildest dreams came to be
Somehow, someway the impossible happened
My heart was set free...

Started a new job
The city life suits me just fine
Here with the hustle and the bustle
I find I have more to do and less time

Some ties have become stronger
Others became more weak
I found my voice though
Finally, I learned how to speak

I've stood up for what is mine
For the things I believe
The lies have lessened which is good
For so long I was deceived

2003 has been the year of love
Love surrounds me, I couldn't ask for more
I've become truer to who I am
As I celebrate the turning of the year, and welcome 2004
