Recognition how is it I can be so invisible to you is it that I am not enough or am I too much absorbed you took me to a bouquet of flowers and ask me which petal I was I told you I wasn’t there I am more the colors that burn at sunrise the smoothing of one into another hues that blend into your eyelashes as your lids close in remembrance then you said you desired the sparkle of diamonds so I told you to close your eyes and I took you to the eve of morning and touched your lips to the flavor of dew for I am more the spark in a tear from earth the soft whisper in the wind always there in simple elegance do you not see me see me as enough or am I too much |
