Though I know these holidays will not be spent with you I hope you can hear this promise that I won’t be blue… Of course, I’d love to feel your arms wrapped around me tight But our hearts are cuddling together each day and night Because of you, I wake each morn; my lungs draw daily breath What we share will survive anything, including death You have given me a love that warms my whole year through Miles may separate us but my thoughts are all of you So I cannot touch your lips, but send to you this kiss And my hopes your Christmas will be filled with joy and bliss You are a gift in my life and I feel truly blessed Merry Christmas, dearest one, you are simply the best! |
