What child does not tear With confrontation of hunger and fear? What child does not cry When the parents must eventually die? What child does not scream To a life that is a nightmarish dream? What child does not moan When abandoned to the streets all alone? What adult so brave To make a sacrifice and a child save. Gloom |

A very dear and humble poem, may all their hearts be filled with love...may the world be given food so that no man woman or child ever feels hunger in any form. God bless |

Professor, I think I know some of those children! Sad part, some of their tears turn to Pompeii's stone. What adult so brave To make a sacrifice and a child save. I liked your write very much. Sad, but true. (I would really like to see you write something someday using the image of Pompeii's stones now that I think about it...Will you? ) Sadelite BTW, Good morning. You woke me up with this one. [This message has been edited by Sadelite (12-23-2003 08:36 AM).] |

thank you for this reality check... sometimes esp during the holidays, we all get so busy with our own everyday lives and what we are doing with our families and such, that I think we forget others...thank you for writing this beautiful and sad yet very accurate poem! Happy Holidays, Amy "When life gives you sorrow, may you experience the spirit of laughter" |
