We are gone

Taken all away

Nothing left to touch

Remember what they would say?

“Realize your youth,

It burns ever hour

Ending a melted puddle

Sinking from your power”

Now we blink and gape in awe

It happened so fast,

Only a sparkle on a rippled reflection

We never thought, to think it wouldn’t last

What did they foresee?

How could have they conveyed,

This wretched and loathly finish of you and me,

When all they would say...

“Realize your youth,

It burns ever hour

Ending a melted puddle

Sinking from your power”
