Today reeks of time,
stained by relentless ghosts.
The impure illusion
in which we follow, like a star
set in motion..

I've missed reading you.  Seems I have some catching up to do.  Good morning, Meghan.

Good one...oh how we tend to follow the wrong stars sometime...and yet, perhaps they are the course we were meant to take?

Smiles and hugs...good Morning

Oh my god. This is simply the best of the best that I have read this morning. Bravo! I wish I had written this...but since I did not I will just have to be content having read it. Bravo!

Meg - As long as that star you are following isn't Balladeer or Toerag, you won't have to worry about too many impurities - lol.

Nicely written poem, Meg, with some really deep thoughts intertwined in it.  I enjoyed it very much.

"Today reeks of time"

hell yeah it does

joy has its own justice. and dreams are languid and lawless. and everything bows to beauty, when it's fierce and when it's flawless...

time can be a web trapping all that tries to pass, even truth.

...a superb poetic snapshot.  Thank you for sharing it.
