Googly eyed Ugly Man,
How have you made it
In the chill so long
With gawking stares
And averting eyes
And thinking no one cares.

You always remember each
And everyone's special day,
And comment pre-reviewed
With just a sentence or two,
(using words well thought through).
You’re a such kind, gentle soul.

Googly eyed, Ugly Man
It could happen to us, you know
At any time  in life.
I wonder if we’d be as smart
To think not of ourselves
But of   the other guy.

Though I don't take time to look very close,
It’s still your eyes I see.
I.Q. is not in  mind, but soul,
and that, Sir, through gentleness,
your beauty and intelligence
overwhelmingly show.

Thank you for your feedback. I was just about ready to delete this because I thought it might be too bold. It is about an old man who lived with us as I grew up. He
is not as fortunate in appearance as the vast majority, but he has a heart of gold.
