Illusions of The Mind By Paul Wilson I’m lost in my mistakes of yesterday afraid to venture into tomorrow Why should I open the door that leads to a lifetime of more heartache and sorrow A love that once was so strong between us dead like last years flowers still on the vine Everyone knows love can’t grow on it’s own it takes two hearts entwined… like yours and mine Doors stay shut and curtains block out the sun but for one small ray that finds it’s way in Casting it’s ray of light on the table where I find my wedding ring once again The phone rings once more and I rush to it hoping that it’s you, praying that it’s not My mind is turning my heart inside out with jaded memories, that’s all I’ve got Thoughts cross my mind that I’d rather not say cause if I did you would be the winner Clock on the wall and liquor are my friends while I sit in darkness drinking dinner Tomorrow holds no hope and dreams for me all that we had got lost in yesterday When the Sun gives rise to another dawn I’ll be here drinking tomorrow away Suddenly a light comes on in the room blinding me for the moment… I just stare I walk into the kitchen in a daze rubbing my eyes I see you standing there We share a kiss and hug with each other you ask about my day… what did I do? Not much… I watched some T.V. took a nap and had a sad dream about me and you "To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you" [This message has been edited by Sunshine (10-08-2003 09:29 AM).] |

Well thank goodness it was just a dream Paul.. And a very real one at that. I hope this is not based on reality. ~Smiles & Hugs, Nancy~ ~Autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile~ |

Nancy...Nothing real about it. At times our dreams or should I say nightmares do seem very real. One thing about writing, we can always make believe and control the ending. I've about run out of actual things too write about, so I'm just using my imagination a little these days. Thanks for caring and for the sweet reply...Paul "To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you" |

(big hugggssssssss) Oh paul, I am so happy it was just a bad drea, sweet friend, I used to have nightmares every night as a boy, and I was heartbroken because they kept getting worse with vampires and demons and I became an insomniac for a long time because I feared I would be killed in my sleep and then after having many nightmares and seizures, I now dream only sweet dreams of my dream girl of the future and unicorns and faeries! (sad sigh) I send angel comfort hugs your way, sweet friend, now have sweet dreams tonight, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Paul, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton I don't need no proof when it comes to God and truth |

Well, since I now have the advantage of having read your reply to Sunshine, I can skip the sentiments and state the bare facts lol : Paul, this was achingly lovely. It seemed so very, very real. I was pleased to discover that this was not a reflection of your reality! Angel hugs, Linda |
