Woodland walks of wonder and beauty, always be there for my eyes to see. Soft flowers of the forest, will push up to the sky in spring, for now they silently sleep, neath layers of leaves of brilliant colour, nature's way so perfect. Fluffy foxes, woolly in vivid colour of rust red, will call echoing around this lonely woodland, as twilight hoves into view. Stink of fox scent, mingles with the smell of deacaying leaves, snouts search silently for meagre offerings of food, a wood mouse, berries and remaining insects. Mist and thick fog, spiders webs hung with dew droplets, bare branches on trees. Robins lonely tuneful song, the only hope in this season of lethergy and stillness. Stagnant and reeking, rotting decomposition, the essence of autumn, returning to the earth, providing rich soil for springs newly sprung greenery and flowers. Shadows of sun shone trees, extend across the woodland floor. Daylight dimminishes as each day rapidly approaches early winter, dreary days of short periods of light, counts down for everyone, hour by ticking hour. Have you seen jack-in -the green he taps his cain on the ground and signals the snowdrops it's time to grow. |

Enjoyed the trip to your woodland, for some reason I loved the part about the red fluffy foxes. ~ARH |
