In the Middle

She was very excited
Middle school, she was starting
She started feeling nervous
Butterflies in her stomach
But she got on the school bus
Couldn’t wait to see her friends
When she went in to the school
She took a very deep breath
Quickly she went to the gym
Totally unfamiliar
With the strange sights before her
She quickly found her best friends
And sat by the one she could
Her best friends and she were split
The day was over quickly
It wasn’t as she thought it
It was good and she was great
She began to love that school

Yeah CP, being anxious and a little wary is just part of growing up.
But even as we get older, these same feelings can still be with us at times.
It is always nice though, when you realize, that you had nothing to be nervous about in the first place.

this is so true of most things we face..it is not as we think it to be, unless we think it to be so much that we create the reality of it being what we thought it would..

glad that day went well..and hope the days to follow are just as pleasant a surprise!

Way to go, kiddo! I know it is going to be a wonderful school year for you. Now, aren't you glad I am not at your school this year? You've got this year and one more, then you are at the high school with me. (a little devil grin). And I will see to it you stay in those honors courses!!!
