Angel Of My Heart

Angel of my heart,
my dream, the spirit of a love
long past and love to come,
I kneel beside the path you walk,
your very step a holy thing to me.
Life of my loving, love beyond life,
I sing you and I know no other song,
I dream you and I need no other dream.
If I should touch, if I should only see
the face that you descend to show,
dare hold a thing so tender
in my callous arms, then
for a moment, I am blessed.
