A BRIEF GLANCE Forty years of History Written on this World’s stage Remembering the President Who turned our History’s page. A young, handsome, Statesman Who gave us all that hope Until that day in Dallas And, a cheap rifle with a scope. The shots rang out and echo Even until this very day Images burnt in our mind’s eye That, will never go away. Lone gunman or conspiracy? It seems we will never know If there was a "magic bullet" Fired from that sixth floor window. We had "Camelot" for awhile And saw a bright future ahead But all those visions were replaced With that, "Eternal Flame", instead. Because he was young? Because it was the 60's? Because it couldn't happen here? |

I remember the day. I was 7 yrs. old and in the 1st grade. I cried. It was a VERY sad day. I remember wanting to go home and be where my mother was. Love, Terri~ |

The mysterious "bullet" that saw its way into the Texas governor's lung was a clever plot indeed..too bad that America lost such a bright mind, appreciated your post. [This message has been edited by ecrivan (11-22-2003 08:54 PM).] |

i wasnt alive to witness it, but it's almost like i was when i hear it from you joy has its own justice. and dreams are languid and lawless. and everything bows to beauty, when it's fierce and when it's flawless... |
