My mind was at the edge of a dream. A strange place filled by shifting shadows Frightening visions of past and future. Facts long thought to be forgotten,raked from my somnambulistic state. Fading and fleeting faces,until unanounced snippets of scenarios was played into my brain, like a film played to an empty theatre, save one, me. My state did not show too much of my future. What am i to deduce from this? Will i live much longer to know more? Time for me ticks,that hour by hour my heart is become bitter as the poison chalice. In a limbo state my mind has become tainted. I am betrayed by my own rancid and festering nightmares. Aye and darkly black they are too. A chasm of screaming shadows, deep as a stagnant, foul smelling sea. Creatures from this sea surface, and try to break the foul film, through the only way out, my mind. Bannished back below, i keep them at bay. For now they bother me not, but i yearn for days when the waters are sweeter scented and teeming with beautiful life again. |
