Foreign to me, wreakage of my heart that lays at your feet cooling down the fire that destroys cities and harbours all of your ill. We are a nation lost, nothing can forgive us for being so inept at dealing with the truths of everyday things that we are so blind to see. We are a nation lost, in the dimming years of two parties that fight not for the will of the people but for the will of the argument. We are a nation lost, in the midst of a dream that pain cannot wake us, lost senses, we see nothing, feel nothing love nothing, but breathe all. We are a nation lost, all but forgotten to the world at large, left behind by our pride, our fervor for rightousness, our longing to belong. We are a nation lost to one another, the thought of holding hands losing its edge among our thoughts of being alone for the second the comercial is on. |

Touche. What sad but true words. Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind... |
