My sentences are always turning into questions Whence from restless vacuums steam Like a freight train sounding its whistle loud and extreme Wandering into summer’s past, Like Canadian geese migrating Between currents of thoughts and footprints Words tasting naked to the touch Like a layered necklace around my throat Becoming quiet creatures of morning Probing between my fingers and toes What passions float in warm water? Or hides within my ghost, that I have yet to know I clandestinely part the now Like a flash of lightening Barefoot in the universe Highly imagistic Yet, not nearly enough echoes my handprints Leaving me drifting in a silent pool Drawing me, drawing you, gasping innocent virtues surreal Tugging at my window becoming integral parts Of the perfect companion, cloned by accessible Libraries, drawing strong components of my psyche Genetically motivated towards the growth of society Evolve what we must, we’re fully saturated Perspiring poems I receive a phone call at 2 in the morning Sharing thoughts into clear precise sentences and Reciting A Night with Hamlet Keeping Rimbaud on his toes Settling for nothing less, that hollow dreamboat of desire For a poet’s true voice, speaks the truth and shadows Each of us…and all of them…where great images bend |
