Cordillera runs amethyst
Caliginous zephyrs over flow
Oceanic swells beckon
Moments befall seasons ago

Meerschaum to play thy feet
Sea’s green to meet thine eyes
O the rushing calls to thee
Then hails thy realize

Seagirt thou soon shalt be
This inland thou shalt forsake
As within resides the whole of thee
In the quiet Gulf's awake

Beautiful poem, though I must admit I had to go to Bartleby's no fewer than three times for definitions. Thank you for the exercise of expansion...of my mind, that is.
