Swattered Laughter Scared I was to hear her whisper, to know the pain across the line sitting here awaiting courage, instead it rang, she was on mine. Radiation, unexpected, the aches from surface tabled hard but most of all, she told a story her week in weakness, body scarred. She tendered feelings of her David how he had to always be there beside her asking questions, those she wished would come from she. The doctor gave him looks, head shaking then gazed back at her, eyes shared. She said she'd get him like his mother when his father interferred. She said his mother took a swatter flyed him once or maybe twice, every time he huddled near her being overly, too nice. My sister, Marcia, needs her spaces needs room to deal with what is told. She is such a wonder, funny made me laugh my tears in hold. So I will buy her present shortly birthday's coming round the bend. I will gift her a fly swatter, poem words attached at end. Decorated for her only to be used when David's bad. A memory that's in the making laughter to replace the sad. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

Good Lord love you and she... I sat through times just like these... I hold you both in thought, and prayer. |

I've been so tired that I haven't been with my sister as much as I wanted this week, what with the hurricane last weekend and the loss of electric and cleaning up the debris etc... I knew she started her radiation this week once the clinics had electric back..and I was afraid to call and see how she did... some days I just am afraid to hear more bad news. I kept putting it off today and then she called me. And she actually was very funny, had me laughing instead of the tears I wanted to cry. This was just one of the stories she told me complaining how her husband is smothering her and how when his parents were ill, his mother used a fly swatter on his dad..or at least threatened to, when he wouldn't leave her alone. Thank you for reading M [This message has been edited by nakdthoughts (09-25-2003 09:17 PM).] |

i am sure the words you put on the end of that fly swatter, would make all laugh as your sister did for you for a change. even under the circumtances it's still nice to laugh and smile every now and then. prayers bernie A smile a day keeps the world in smile's. |

I'm sure she will enjoy it and IU'm glad you could have a moment of laughter. Crystal |
