MAGNIFICENT Have you ever looked into the night sky wondering about those tiny sparkling lights that we call stars? And have you then known that almost all of them are distant suns, like our own that gives us life? And have you then also imagined their distance so far away, measured in light-years? And that of each one of those you see only its past never how they are now presently? And have you seen the rising moon, bathed in its light reflected from the sun, bathing the other half of our earth in golden light? And have you then speculated about distant stars, where it all goes whence it all comes? Have you once tried to think about the end of space and its beyond? Then have you not seen yourself so small, seen from another sun less than a dot? And how magnificent this ecstasy to muse that you can think and dream and breath and then you know you are in space, and all your troubles fade away! (from "Transcend" by Magic Solias) |

But of course . . . I wander there often, and sleep better at night for it. - - - - - I think I might have written this without the interrogative construction, as it seems a bit overplayed (just my 2 cents worth). -glider- |

small parts in something so much bigger...and possibly so much more beautiful than we are. Lovely writing. makes me think of a poem about a light year compared to a regular year...something like that. I don't think I have the proper understanding to write it though. enjoyed "You put a stain on all of my good days." |
