Rent me a soul please
for mine has died
one that still has even
a flicker
remnant of passion
still burning
for its becoming a rare find
these days

Yearning for the teachers
to Spring from their caves
unlocking hidden
secret gnosis
of Sophia to my empty eyes

Where were you old Milton
when I lost my self in metaphorical hell?
Falling through its different layers
Finding damnation tasting like vinegar

I wish to speak of salvation
holy advents of angels
but my eyes have gone out
so I see nothing at all
I hear too much
covering my ears
I speak the word
No
and there is silence.
