Love is Never a Visitor

When love comes into your heart, it is never a visitor
Though it may remain mysterious and unsettling to the mind
It cradles itself in comfort of the heart’s most downy nest

Though it may grow to immeasurable depths,
The heart expands to accommodate its dimension

Though it may bring pain and sorrow to your life
Yet it will never be evicted

Though it may steal the tranquility of your night,
It is a welcomed thief and a revered pilfer

Though it may flutter its wings in each breath and sigh
Yet it seeks not to fly away

Though love may eat away at the sanity of the mind and at the
tender threads of the heart, yet it gives to the mind and heart
The most needed and most exquisite nourishment of life

Love is the aroma of a the garden filled
with the beauteous flowers of the earth,
and though it may not be embraced
Yet it fills each breath with the most fragrant balm of life

Though it may not be consummated by the flesh,
Yet it is joined with the essence in ethereal bliss

Though the other’s heart may be distant,
The separation is but a veil of fragile spider strings,
Softly brushed away by the imagination

Though it may cut as a sword,
Yet the deepness of the wound only allows more love
To enter your chamber

When love fills the heart and remains a lifetime,
It matters not, in the end, if dreams were fulfilled

It only matters that it is there

(smiles) I too believe that it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all, and I have not yet gotten to love someone for real and hope to fulfill the void someday soon! (kiss on cheek) This is beautiful and flowering with wisdom, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Elizabeth, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

You truly got to the "heart of the matter" with the message in this one, but then I live in one of your rented rooms don't I?  Yes Liz, it only matters that is was or is there. Oh, how this made me smile.
