Began in age of innocence, a time not long ago a bit of insignificance, at least, at time, seemed so. A purchase of some art supplies, some paper and some pens, all stuff on which I'd had my eyes, since who knows how long, when, another item caught my gaze, quite inadvertantly. Was unacustomed in those days to such diversity. The scope of it's magnificence was clearly quite a shock, for there lay all my hopes and dreams displayed in one big box. Its' lettering was bright and bold, which said you could be too, a future waiting to unfold, for you, "Sir Rulian Blue". Imagining I was this famous knight of fabled lore, I parted with my hard earned cash, and headed for the door. "Sir Rulian Blue" I would be called, defender to the throne. I sketched great battle scenes in crayon, yet, somehow never honed, the artists' skills I deeply wished to master, sad to say, and so with little fanfare, I did put my crayons away. The years in swift progression, passed quite unremarkably. Lost count of the concessions made, achieved "maturity", when out of nowhere struck a chord from some forgotten past, "Sir Rulian" had found his sword to draw at long, long last. Not pictures, with a childs hand, refrigerator bound, were only words at his command, and this, his battleground. "Sir Rulian Blue", a sequel to what couldn't express back then... I picture him quite clearly now, distinctly, with a pen. [This message has been edited by Dr.Moose1 (11-06-2003 08:15 PM).] |

Brilliant! And I love cerulean! It's one of my favorite, especially watching it glides from the brush filled with rich vibrant oils, capturing the essence of sky or water. |

KristieSue, Thanks. Big kid at heart here. "Peter Pan Syndrome?" Ha!, I wrote the book on that one! Doc Martie, Thank you. You already know how much I admire your ability and perspective on things, I believe at times we all influence one another. Doc EA, Thanks so much, but, you better keep the paintbrush. Me, I'm liable to poke my eye out! Doc |

Midnitesun, Thanks. Apparently we crossed in posting. I'm glad you liked. A bit of nostalgia mixed with (I hope) some promise of things to come. Thanks again. Doc |

This was great! Every time I passed by I've had to stop and to check it out again! This is too cerulean cool! Well at least you tried battlefields--I gave up on irons and vacuum sweepers (don't laugh-at least they didn't move! The iron got steamed up once or twice, but that that wasn't really the problem. What can I say? Some people have it and some just ????) I've got to mark this one for future reference! Much enjoyed! Sadelite |

May I enter your land of bewilderment, because my eyes teared up at this, heaven only knows why. Perhaps for the childhood, perhaps, for the dreams... you never re-tread old tires. You write new poetry! |

Marge, Thanks. I'm glad I'm not the only one that little bugger stalks, he's been doing that to me for years! Doc Noah, Thank you my friend for your kind words and encouragement, as always. Doc Sunshine, Thanks so much. You're always welcome, there's always room, and, it's just an eye blink away. Be well. Doc |

Alison, Thank you. I think I consider this one of my better pieces as it offers a glimpse behind the curtain, so to speak. Doc |
