There is something deep inside him that was trying just to speak
Trying hard for years and years, but with them growing weak
A feeling born from feelings that have hidden with a sin
To raise as seed of pain and want that struggles now within

Fertilized by failure and by need that never came
Watered by the tears within and years of just the same
But hidden deep by power that the quiet men posses
That only lets them suffer and be martyrs of their stress

His voice of truth was waiting for the chance to yell out loud
To be the voice of hundreds that do walk in every crowd
To tell of felt displeasures and the needs to make him whole
While calling manhood courage for the might to reach his goal

But now it just grows older and with age starts to forgive
Accepting more the given and the rules on which to live
Surviving on a dream within, that many too must dream
More hopeful that some things might change and life will time redeem

But still he feels the aching that may never go away
While voices although distant, just keep calling everyday
And chains may never fully free the truth within his heart
But hope will keep him going till the something does depart

For still it lurks within.

Hello Rick and good morning...another lovely story and lesson for us all to learn from.  You know...if we chose to look into those failures, they might very well be miracles which can set us free, if we can only find the miracles within them...our loses can be our most valuable tributaries, just waiting to be sailed.

Wonderfully enriching..thank you for sharing

Hello Rick

This was such a stunning piece of writing and such an outpouring of your soul.  I am amazed that more people haven't read this so I am going to do something about that.

"To share often and much.....
to know even one life has breathed
easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded"

(You have achieved this many times over my friend)

Take care.......Sue

I've read it twice and found much pondering material within it~
Thank you for sharing~

I appreciated this write of yours as I do so many.  There are those that have so much trouble facing their own grief, that it consumes them so much longer than seems necessary.  Happiness should flourish, not regret. A wise lesson to remember.

(big hugggssssssss) This is so very sad but true, sweet friend, it pains me to see so many keep the pain deep inside of their stomachs and can never breathe it out as it will only hurt them more day by day! (sad sigh) Happiness must be achieved and must start in oneself, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Rick, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Rick, this is perfect writing, as is all
of your work.
Sorry I didn't see this before. I haven't been here
as much lately as I used to be.
Take care, my friends.

Beautiful write!
There is always time to forgive ourselves and others ... and time to make the dream within  manifest.

Thank you!
