Step softly upon
my soul's spiraling staircase,
for the dust settles
so swiftly
over these vanishing footprints
even as I pass by you.

It seems I never really was
here
except in my mind's eyes
as I chose to

blink blink blink

away the images of reality
and flesh
that flashed by
in dark syncopation

and no one saw all my shadows
dancing on the wall

for my color was
too multi-dimensional,
overexposed
yet underdeveloped
thoughts flashing
before the mind's eyes.

I pinched the outer edges of
life's self-seeking proofs
only to find reality exposing me...
leaving me wanting so much more
than could be captured.

But the negatives did not
contain me.

Please, hold me in your hands gently.
Breathe deeply my exhaled imagery,
then return to me the essence of my being,
that I may know
I lived a 3D reality
before I left it all behind
in the dark room.

Yo Kacy...thought this was cool.liked the fact that I can read it several times and go somewhere different each one.nothing like a good shot of reflections and loneliness to stir a soul.lol.
enjoyed and enlightened ...

Live like it's your last day...

Kacy:

Good Lord . . . YES
My Goodness NOTHING about you
will be left in the dark
I adore this . . .
ahhh . . . this is one of the best
I have ever read from you

only to find reality exposing me...
leaving me wanting so much more
than could be captured.

But the negatives did not
contain me.

You manage to be passionate and
maintain your message
Beautiful

Ray, LOL, stir it up in as many different ways as you'd like, it's great to know it affects you. BTW, how is winter shaping up?

Sue, thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed this write, and thanks for the kind thoughts!
