I want for naught but shards of blue-eyed gaze,
entranced, yet bound by seas of foregone days,
no fairer blue hath seen my sand strewn shore,
warm azure orb, my soft-shelled tidal bore.

Fate crystallized with rhyme in scattered shells
long since abandoned, filled with lover’s spells,
divined to wait and speak not soft heart’s breath,
with silent sigh, her kiss a harbored death.

Set sail t'ward rise and ebb of crescent wave,
love unrequited lies in somber grave.
What reckoning doth waste this harmony,
with rhapsody in love’s simplicity.

Sweet respite found for want of deeper hue,
in true love’s eyes, there’s none a brighter blue.
