To grasp the arms of one at break of dawn
where in the light does give to eyes a gleam.
A place of green, of flowers on the lawn
beside cold rugged rocks, the swirling stream.

For is the green, that brings a murmur’s sigh.
A quiver of the heart in nature’s view.
Where from the golden bird, in soar does fly,
and brings the barren nest a fish’s stew.

To clench cold hands and eyes in sudden gasp,
and feel the heart now cease the crimson course.
Would cleave the earth of painted nature’s grasp,
and leave the dark to rend it’s silent force.

As time does shape the molded land of earth,
so will the babe, now born a waking birth.

I wanted to place a few commas in the last few lines, to set off some of your words.  Read it aloud - relish what you say...

you'll find where they are needed.

Enjoyed this one, Magnus.  Thank you!

Magnus~
This is as stunning a write as I'll find to read this day~

Absolutely beautiful~

The gentle lilting cadence of the entire piece rolls off the tongue so effortlessly~
SIR ... this is exceptional~

You,  each of you...the words...give me
chills...  For I have never felt capable
of writing a piece of poetry that would
be appreciated as well as you have led
me to believe you do.

Thank you very much...and yes,  I would read
this...might even become slightly overcome
by my own emotions of it.

Thanx again
