Buzzing through the paper
I read it loud and clear
“Huge incredible white sale-
only happens oncea year!”

I crumpled up the newspaper
removed it from my lap,
grabbedthe old tennies,
and my purse by its long strap.

The mercantile was open
But I could barely shove me in.
Feet stopped. Glaring eyes.
Man this is pandemonium!

In trusty tennies and quick pivot toe
Iheaded out the door.
Thoughts of new towels and sheets
No longer did I explore.

Sore feet, longggg soak
That would do the trick.
Stepped in burning furnace water
And lit the candlewick.

Ahhhhhh

So in answer to your question, Blaze,
How did “Bath Away the Day” come to be?
With pen clutched between index and big toe
Words just kept on splashing me!

Ahhhh…
Ha!

Anda splish splash to all you !

Gleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Well done Sadie-baby! That's it--splash it all over me. (It's okay I was born wet. )

Loved this and love your sense of humor my friend! Thanks for humoring me.

Sunshine,
Glad you think so.   I must be in a weird mood because cute doesn't usually roll off my tongue!  Thanks for saying so...

Serenity Blaze,
You and i should do this more often.  It was kind of fun.   I'm still waiting for your version of the soak!
