A Year Ago New Poet Richie Anniversary 27 - 30 September 2002 A year ago, has it been that long? Since we met to hear poet's song All those memories I hold dear I can't believe it's been a year we gathered together and cried the airports were fun, though I died when I saw the banner on the breeze and looked at you smiling, at ease I can't forget that first sight of you The way you smiled, your laughter too Our visits to Denny's were a delight We seemed to be there every night if Denny's got sick of just us three remember when three became we for breakfast, we played foreign host and met there when some had got lost We visited Margie for the day Although we got lost on the way But we arrived in time for lunch Though for all of us it was our brunch with Margie to lead us all around we knew our direction was sound with good friends to dinner we went till all of our money was spent Driving with Krissy was such fun Even in that hot Florida sun We got lost and then found again Krissy thought my directions were insane oh how we laughed loud in the car when distance became more than far we travelled in circles so it seems though this gave us time for our dreams What a delight when the poets met A happier meeting you’d never get Bill sang, and ‘Deer entranced all Then off to Denny’s again at Lyra’s call When Krissy and I arrived there We heard how Denny’s had taken care Of the Chipmunk and her spouse Then we carried her off to the house It was a villa in New Poet Richie Not a house but that didn’t rhyme you see This brief explanation for those who know How this poem should really flow This meet was an outstanding success For that you should thank our hostess Kethry will lie and say it was me But I tell the truth it was Kethry So much has happened to us two But I'll never forget the touch of you Marsha and Kethry In loving memory of Lyra, and all who made the trip so very special Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds but I can face the future with courage brave and bold Footprints In My Heart Kethry [This message has been edited by Marsha (09-24-2003 09:31 AM).] |

What a tribute. It speaks so highly of the care and concern, and love, we all have for our poetic friends. Thank you for this Marsha... it's so good to have you home. |

Kethry and Marsha, this is such a beautiful write from the hearts of you two. I'm so glad that all of you had such a wonderful time in my home state. I came to Passions almost a year ago (Sept. 29th) and I remember all the poems and words you all shared with us when your trip was over. Each of them was special and heart-felt....with sadness and happiness all mixed in together. It seems bonds were made that will last a lifetime...that is wonderful!! Thanks for sharing this with us. Hugs to both of you Ethel |

And how many times did you return to that airport? LOL This is delightful, my friends... I do wish so I could have been there with you... but I'll be the first to admit no one wanted to be around me right then... including me! LOL Having heard Marsha's voice reading this to me makes it even more special... Wonderful job, ladies! *S* |

Let's do it again! And this time, let's have the murder we were going to do, and all the other stuff we never got around to because we were laughing too much. I've never felt so close to people so quick before in my life. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

Mushy, you bring the chips and I'll bring the dips and language will not be a barrier we had so much fun in the Florida sun I wanted to linger and carry 'er (well actually it was push you around in a bloody great wheelchair) Bill sang his tune that made the gurls swoon and Deer read his tales with panache Seymour and Nan gave us lessons in plan and of laughter, there was a big stash then we took a punt and set up a hunt with treasure to be the surprise we foreigners didn't know how the sultry heat flows and we watched as you melted your eyes still the laughter rang loud and of you I'm so proud cause persistence and plan was the key we could do it again but I'm just not sure when maybe the other side of eternity. Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

Hello Marsha Your words were so warm and uplifting and I can only imagine what a wonderful time you all had. "For memory has painted this perfect day with colors that never fade and we find at the end of a perfect day the soul of a friend we've made" Take care.......Sue I am in motion |

When all is said and done, memories are what we have left. You, Mushy, and Kethry did such a woderful job in making these memories possible. Words on a screen are nice but nothing to seeing the face behind the words. England, Australia, the Netherlands, the U.S...all together sharing pieces of themselves with each other..now THAT is the real U.N.!! Thank you for everything you did to make it all possible...you are a very special lady |
