I beg the night
be still
ask of the stars
dim
in hopes of squelching
memories that
stir.....
Fall is hurried this year
and brings with her bustle
too many echoes
upon the chilled night air
I listen wistfully
and damn my heart
for it’s weakness

.........it’s going to be a long, cold winter

Very beautiful Sue,  the mood sets very
well with the work itself and blends
nicely with the ending.

Beauty that travels on stringed instruments came to mind while reading this. Well I guess that means a symphony. Lovely!

(smiles) Oh Susan, this is beautiful, sweet friend, it might be a long, cold winter but it doesn't mean it has to be harsh as you can harp warmth to the season! (big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Susan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
