Catch my breath
on the wind
as it passes by
whispering your name

Cup me in your comfort
seal me in your security
touch me to taboo

Feel my heart beat
as it races
to the rhythm
of your touch

Peel me to purity
free my fears
melt my mediocrity

See the soul
of who I become
with the words
that caress your lips

take my hand and walk with me
towards tomorrow

WOOOOO HOOOOOO ....
A hottie poem full of alliterations...
the moth is giddy!!!!

Susan this poem makes me holler--IWIHWT!!!!!!!

Catch my breath
on the wind
as it passes by
whispering your name

oh yeah... love that verse...
high inspire and your pens on fire.
very cool write.

You're the color of the sky reflected in each store-front window pane ...
You're the whispering and the sighing of my tires in the rain.

Susan,

This is beautiful. In particular I love the words,

"Catch my breath
on the wind
as it passes by
whispering your name"

The image is pure.

With this image you can walk with comfort and security into your tomorrows.

Gives a good feeling, Susan.

Susan, I'd say this poem proves that you have found your rhythm! ~ and this write caught my breath! I loved it! Very well done!!!

The following lines really stick in my mind:

"Peel me to purity
free my fears
melt my mediocrity"

~ and ~

"take my hand and walk with me
towards tomorrow"

To love eternal,

Linda

Well Myrtle, if I'm willing to follow you into a tornado, I guess tomorrow shouldn't scare me too much.  Ok, since you asked so nicely, let's take a walk.  I am bringing breadcrumbs though.
I don't think I've mentioned that this is really one hell of a good poem.  And I'd say that even if I wasn't biased toward it's writer.

Bravo Susan...I love this. It is more light and airy then I have read in a while. Of course I have been so busy lately too I don't get to pop over here as often as I want. Damn fine read this morning though. Well done!
