night bleeds a red dawn
sleep eludes me still
tortured by
the irritating echo
of a prayer unanswered

..and then one day you find..ten years have got behind you..no one told you when to run..you missed the starting gun..

Of beauty. The stopped shadows
Develop moral overtones and these
Are what gets put into circulation.

~ A bit of brilliance, Dear Aenimal. Hopefully your prayer will be answered soon so you can get some shut-eye!

I sound like you...
or you sound like me...
I just use more words,
but you say it better.
anyway, I know what you mean

I'm reading this at 5 am my time on a Saturday morning... woke up several hours ago... need I say more about how much I relate? *S*

I like this, Aenimal... not the experience, but your relating of it. *S*

it has blown in the past with
its crutch its old age and its widsom
it whispers no this won't be the last
