The little china girl retches her saline spirit dry here we go then we're all going to die dissappearing day trippers sat on our hands gripping the deck blinking short our memories of life our little pendulous boat hypnotized we swallow our regrets why that last beer why and the little china girl retches too weak to open her eyes. Our mood was bouyant earlier choking on our giggles snorkelling the reef wowing the pretty fish we're all going to die smeared all over the coral that we chipped with flippered feet the pretty fish will nibble. We continue to grip crushed by our silence heavy in our seats and the little china girl retches drowned in leather mans jacket his big numb arm encircles her waist the black strings of her hair have tied her to his face. We're all going to die from the roaring guffaws of our captain rolling our spineless heads from side to side chins pressed to chests we need a stretch of sky and the little china girl retches her sickness rises on the swell our gaze lifts hopefully triumphant unwell conquer natures domain. So this is it then the peuk is lost to the ocean we never see it again. |

Now you made me almost lose my beer! Some vivid imagery, Spud, reminded me of a storm tossed fishing trip in Ensenada, Mexico many years ago. Even the captain lossed his cookies that day. Enjoyed the tied-up face/hair lines. |
