The voices are screaming tonight the demons of past have come back to play In truth I have summoned them and knew when I did it but figured I would pay later And now is later past is never really past but present suppressed So with little effort at all they come to taunt me with their evil accusations Keeping me from sleep reminding me I am not worthy whispering of what I can't have At night in the wee hours of morning I let them scream and I listen So I am able to keep them quite in the light of day no one need see my tears and I will bypass the mirror |

past is never really past but present suppressed ooomph. I kind of doubled over reading that. is typing out "hugs" lame? sigh. If you were here I'd pour you a shot of cuervo. But then we'd have to go to the store too...grin. *heart-hugs* might just be safer.  Here if you need an ear lady.  |

"At night in the wee hours of morning I let them scream and I listen" ~ PLEASE DO NOT LISTEN TO THE DEMONS SCREAMING! Listen, instead, to the angel whispers and songs..... They are there, you just need to be open to them--and believe. This is a great poem! I do understand where you're coming from! A powerful and emotive write that many of us will have been able to identify with at some time in our life. ~ May you always be wrapped in the loving arms of the angels and may you hear their sweet voices... Superb writing! I too have visiting demons, sometimes I invite them, sometimes they crash the doors of my perceptions. When I can be very private, where no one will hear enough for them to get frightened, I scream back at the demons. Sometimes they seems scared of me and I feel better. Sometimes I just lose my voice. I'd use mezcal instead of cuervo, but I think I do that because the headache later is more of a penance. *smile* Feel better, keep writing! |

Thank you all!  I have to listen to them sometimes..or else they will never leave me alone... Icy~I never tried to scream at them...I just always figured it is what I deserve and took my punishment.. Susan |

They do not control unless you allow them the open door. They sit only within a mind, and once the mind replaces their hiding place with something pleasant....they are powerless and leave.... For she who gives them the key....also has power over the key and may keep the door locked forever, when she learns she is worthy, and always has been... Excellent write Susan...I know of demons, I skirmish with them occasionally, I used to have wars with them....but that was then, and this is now. |

And now is later past is never really past but present suppressed Susan, this really touched my heart. I could feel the pain in your heart and mind as I read this. I really don't know what to say. Sometimes, all we want is someone to listen, anyway...right? I will say, though, that no matter what you have or have not done in your past, you don't deserve to be punished for the rest of your life. I don't think ANYONE has been an angel all of their lives....no matter what some people may think of themselves. Just remember, you ARE WORTHY OF GOOD THINGS TO HAPPEN TO YOU.  (big hugggsssssss) Oh Susan, I too had to deal with all these demons as a little boy, and still occasionally do, though I am always able to easily overcome them now! (sad sigh) I never wanted to fall asleep then because I feared I would be left vulnerable for the evil spirits to take me away, that was a bad time for me, God Bless You, I send many angel hugs your way, we all love you so much! Susan, I have been here many times and just recently.It's not a thing to face alone.So when these demons come remeber my spirit is with you singing a sweet lullaby and slashing those demons away.
