My heart wears its face on its sleeve Stringing music Visual and concrete Gates of paradise lives where the muse whispers Your Christian buffet served me well In light and dust internal And writers guild Speckled words in a night jar, I’ve saved Publishing a collective effort Electronic submissions of defeat Where you are matters not For a time we went underground Your podium wore my words, for awhile Writing graffiti all over your walls Of a home that is no more No more… But I remember |

Your podium wore my words, for awhile Writing graffiti all over your walls ================================ something about those lines kept me coming back to them. Clever use of theme and extended metaphor here. Well done poetess Lee. "I've still got sand in my shoes |

Lee...I very much enjoy for writing. I don't always have the time to stop and comment... but, please know that I do read and enjoy your work. ~Smiles & Hugs, Nancy~ ~Autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile~ |
