I remember things of innocense From long ago My childhood friend I used to always play with When I got older I found out I liked my childhood friend More than just a friend And a crush developed oh so long ago My freind retaliated my feelings back once But never again did my crush Show those same feelings again Which made a pain in my heart Then my friend moved away And I remember why now they never showed How they truly felt All the abuse they endured Made them put up a barrier Now it is the present day I have moved on in some ways But when it comes to commited relationships It is hard to keep them going Because memories of you keep flowing back I wish I could move on But it is hard for me to do so Now I still have feelings for you My first crush And my first love Oh me The confusion I have endured Since you moved away Cold hands means a warm heart |
