Truth A pleasant talk and not a hint of strain, A dinner in a dimly lighted booth, A quiet drive, a soft and peaceful rain, Are simple joys enriched with simple truth. The simple truth that love will not demand, Nor ever ask for more than it may give, That love must only seek to understand, And understanding, find its will to live. Pretensions cast aside and egos tamed, Our brilliant love in vibrant, fragrant bloom, This hope of love is now a love enflamed, And never wonders, worries, or presumes. We'll cherish love that only we may share, Our minds and bodies laced, intent, and bare. [This message has been edited by David2 (10-21-2003 01:07 PM).] |
