A myriad of tones, each a symphony of foams Likely to be sharpened each to point before a single swirl And ever likely too, before the touch of paper, peels unfurl Far before, a vision painted on a canvas soft and sure Melted dreams to stir Beseeched in strums, triumphant in the way it comes More often to be tossed about the hue, beside some orphan shoe With confidence a mighty line, strong and straight Except within his grand design, watercolors washed, A polished shine The artistry of differences, textures rich and raised, Heated up and cooled within the silent white ablaze Spaces left with gaps, pausing to pitch bottle caps In a speechless glee, settling to final draft enraptured he Mixing in two tones Hearing the define of red, of yellow through the grousing bellow In the context of the sun that kisses apples with September done Blending in two different eyes the styles, unique in definition And somehow same in the tradition, purple is purple, or violet mist Subtle versions teased a kiss Yet how unlikely is it to have thoughts so close in flavor? Couldn’t there be different in the good of just a simple green lifesaver? Maybe apple, mint or lime…something that defies define Sharpening the point, waiting for the right time Clear, the colors that you hear She draws in smooth and brighten, fine lines a glow enlighten Imagining the rise and fall of every breath drawn great and small A sculpture that is known by feel, before it can be shown He listens to the color box, observes the pallet, picks the locks All the while looking in her eyes The image of the wind, on wings she gives to him And wishes into moonlight, there paints for him the rainbow skies A touch of dromedary sighs and nodding all the while he denies Groping for the dream, sightless in a solitary tartan theme That love could still be green 9/22/03 |

I found this quite interesting and well done.. the verses I copied being my favorites... funny how the smell of crayons can take us back to something simpler and to a time we might believe...love indeed was still green.. |

I love the way your words paint beautiful colors. Hugs Ethel |

I see we're in tune today...in a colorful sort of way... You just bore the colors a bit brighter. |
