~Taking Flight~

I can't forget that moment
when it was as if the chains
finally broke
and the dark clouds
finally lifted
giving away
to the brightness       of day,

the answer
hidden in the dark skies
only needed to find
that ray of sunshine
to make it reach
further
than it ever had      before

likened to the light
breaking upon a new day
its message arose       so clear
and like a butterfly    taking flight
for the first time

a heart finally found its way~
to forgiveness.

Now, I wonder how many people
are going to be thinking,
"is this for me?"
because you've certainly found a passle
of poet people who truly enjoy your words...

but I think she already knows that....

Hello Donna

Your words were absolutely beautiful and I'm sure your friend will love them.

may alight upon you."
