**this is quite different from most of my work. I wanted to try and broaden my horizons and do something I hadn't before. I don't normally read many plays nor am I into theater much, but this turned out to actually be a lot of fun. There may be a part 2 to this. A Piece of Theater Once upon a time, in a land far away There was a magical story, that was turned into a play The name of it Les Miserables,it takes place in Paris France I'll tell you of the beginning, when true love got it's first dance First there is Jean Valejean, sentenced to prison for a petty crime When he got out of prison, he had not a dime The saintly bishop was nice to him, giving him two candlesticks Always escaping, Jean Valjean really made Javert completely sick Valjean becomes mayor and changes his name The act of kindness once bestowed on him, his land he shows the same One of his workers Fantine, has a child named Cosette Though a child that is illegitimate, nothing does Fantine regret With the untimely passing of Fantine, Cosette lives in a despictable Inn The people watching over her treat her horrible, comitting a sin Never does she grow mean though, love only blooms deep inside Though they try to make her ugly, her beauty they can not hide Eponine was the real daughter, the one treated right When she first saw Marius, it was love at first sight Marius though had his heart set on Cosette, his one true love Cosette is equally as in love with him, their love peaceful as a dove During this time, a revolution had begun Anger is building in the city, there is no way for it to be undone A leader that has gotten out of hand is about to lose power While the love between Cosette and Marius continued to grow like a flower "love is like a butterfly-- |

You did the play an honor by attempting a poetic verse. There is much to be said for going to a good play. We have a very good and admirable local theater group in our area - so good that I've become a yearly season-ticket holder. I hope you decide to go again - you will find you will learn much to add to your poetic skills. |
