You Just Didn't Understand

You just didn't understand,
I said what I did about pearls before swine,
The reason was because,
I was giving my hearts words; my hearts cries
they were all my heart had to give, they were mine.

You shunned them, it wasn't because,
I had talent..something that others would envy, and admire.
But it was because they were words that came by
trials of life, trials of the mind, tested by fire.

I had no shame to say these things to you.
If it would in some way make you remember me.
Fight I did because I wanted you to see
my words were what I knew kept you coming back
And other ways, I had nothing to offer..for you;it just wouldn't do.

I know you knew I never meant,
that I had something extra good.
You know me, you know how I am; you know I never could.
As a matter of fact that's what you hate about me..
.I'm just not that confident.

You just didn't understand; I loved you so much
I didn't want you to forget me.
My words were all I had
that would bring you to me.
Your presence was all that brought me joy
and made things in life not so sad.

You just didn't understand.
You really didn't see,
Just how much you meant.
You meant the world to me.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Shara, this is exactly how I felt all along when I had my Joanna for over a year, but on New Years Day she said she never even loved me (you can read her love poems she wrote to me and judge for yourself) and never has wanted to talk to me again and just knowing and hearing from her made me happy then! (sad sigh) I send angel comfort hugs your way, sweet friend, if only they'd all understand, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Shara, thank you for sharing!

Terri, Unfortunately in life we meet someone and they don't realize the impact they have on our lives.You are such a kindred spirit and if he didn't return your love then he doesn't deserve it.I'm here to hold your hand, listen with an ear, or anything you need.I know this may be from the past, but even if it is I'm here.

Terri, he just doesn't know what he missed. Sometimes people don't realize what they have until they lose it...and most times, it's too late, then.

Crystal, and Ethel..your words are always so precious. Both of you are sweet to give an ear of support, and a word to encourage. I wish for him all the best though. All I know is I don't like being misunderstood by him, and I want him to be happy. That's what I want..is for him to find that place he can feel love, and feel he IS loved.
