in your Petite Mortes,

The “little deaths”

Endings and beginnings

Meshing
even as we do

Quieted only

Amen

Liquid grace
slips
from tip of finger
to lip

listen within
the night breeze
calling me
to that place deep

a miner for my heart
lamplight in the dark
guiding my hand

rock upon stone

cavern release me!

The wind

frantic gloved hand
