Sweet echoes of you Still haunt me Piercing my heart Unexpectedly A fleeting aroma Of your blend on a breeze Still has the power to tremble my knees A glimpse of a stranger With a crooked smile Squeezes all breath From my lungs for a while I destroyed all the letters Your pictures, the rose Determined to bury My memories of us There is no salve To ease my pain When your memory Strangles my heart again Time the great healer I hope will be true For only time will lessen The heartbreak of you |
